Mille Fête is seeking a reliable, highly motivated, and industrious person with a positive attitude to join our team as a Retail Team Confrère (associate). Who you are: an integral member of Mille Fête’s service team who excels at hospitality and quick decision making and thrives in a busy workplace. What you’ll do: create a welcoming and hospitable environment and facilitate the guest experience at Mille Fête by providing stellar customer service. Candidates must be well-versed in Mille Fête’s offerings including seasonal specials and maintain a clean and organized work environment while greeting guests, answering questions, fulfilling orders, and packing up orders neatly and securely. What we need from you: excellent hospitality and communication skills. Willing and eager to learn more about pastry, food, wine, and hospitality. Qualified individuals should possess strong attention to detail. In addition, the individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to be a team collaborator. What you get from us: Comprehensive medical through Kaiser 50% discount at Mille Fête 50% dining discount at Fête Job type: full-time, part-time Pay: $18 per hour + tips Benefits: employee discount, health insurance, 401k Responsibilities Greet guests Take orders Prepare coffee and tea orders Work the POS system Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including washing dishes, clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and sweeping and mopping floors Serving food and drinks to seated guests, when needed Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and handling food in a safe and hygienic manner Learn all of Mille Fête’s pastry, beverage, savory and gourmet products Pack and package food preparation when necessary Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, and reach Handle repetitive motions Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age and high school education or equivalent, required Food handler’s certificate, food safety knowledge Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to read, write, and communicate in English;legible handwriting; basic math skills Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed (must be available during holidays and weekends and for shifts that are sometimes in very early mornings) Follow dress code and be neat in appearance Minimum of 1 year ofpreviousexperience in a similar role.
